Short biography:
Maja Trstenjak was born on November 21st 1992 in Koprivnica, Croatia. She started studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb in 2011, Industrial Engineering major. She got summa cum laude Master’s degree in 2016 for which she was awarded with the Faculty Achievement Medal. In the same year she was employed as a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty and enrolled in the Doctoral study of Industrial Engineering and Management where she got a PhD in 2021.

Fields of interest: technological process design, multi criteria decision making and optimization, work study and ergonomics, sustainable production

  • Development of an energy-efficient heating system using solid fuels from renewable energy sources using innovative technological procedures (REVIRES), 2020-2023
  • Member of the Organizing Committee of the MOTSP Scientific Conference 2016-2018
  • Organizer and lecturer at the Professional Seminar on Increasing the Efficiency of Small Enterprises in a Sustainable Production Environment (PEMP) 2016
  • Contributor to the international project “Aspects of the development of an intelligent, sustainable and inclusive society: social, technological, innovation networks in employment and digital economy” (2018-)
