Chair of Production Management

Production Management Laboratory

The activity of the laboratory is related to the area of modeling, management and improvement of products and production processes by use of modern optimization algorithms. Recent research in the laboratory is focused on improving production and service processes as part of scientific research and cooperation projects with industry. The laboratory equipment consists of 20 computed stations that are equipped with modern software solutions, the most important of which are:

  • Statistica 13
  • Design Expert 12
  • Matlab
  • Any Logic (educational version)

Maintenance Laboratory

The Maintenance Laboratory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture was established in 2017 with the aim of creating a competence center and increasing the intensity of knowledge transfer in the field of advanced industrial equipment maintenance technologies. Currently, it has a computer classroom with 16 computers and a laboratory practicum equipped with a modern vibration simulator with installed vibration sensors and data acquisition systems. The laboratory also has two portable devices for measuring and analyzing vibration and bearing conditions of renowned manufacturers Bruel & Kjaer, SPM Instruments) industrial equipment with associated software, portable thermal imaging camera with FLIR Lepton sensor and related software, SIEMENS 1215C PLC controller and multiple sensors and microcontrollers and Raspberry PI mini-computers with peripherals. Following on from industry demands, a DJI Mavic drone with augmented reality glasses along with PCs equipped with Turing GPUs for machine learning were also purchased.
