Chair of Production Design

The activity of the chair is the design of production systems within the company. Manufacturing as such is a complex system within which technological and manufacturing processes need to be optimized in order for the production process to proceed with as little downtime as possible.

There are two laboratories within the Production Design Chair: Laboratory for process planning and the Logistics Laboratory. The areas of activity of the department are related to the courses that are performed as part of the teaching, and the mentioned laboratories are at the same time bearers of areas of activity that overlap in certain segments.

Laboratory for process planning

The laboratory is active in the field of technological process design. Within this, great emphasis is placed on the study of work and time, that is, ergonomics. More recent research is being conducted in the direction of Industry 4.0 and sustainable production. The laboratory consists of a computer classroom with computers on which computer programs related to the field of research are installed:

Logistics Laboratory

The laboratory is active in the modeling of production and logistics systems, with the aim of optimizing transport flows and storage. Recent lab research focuses on the areas of work and time studies (recording and measuring activities), ergonomics (the impact of work on the human body) and green supply chain management. The laboratory consists of a computer classroom with computers on which computer programs related to the field of research are installed:
