Short biography:
Miro Hegedić was born in 1987 in Varaždin, Republic of Croatia. After the high school of Electrical Engineering, he enrolled in the undergraduate study of Mechanical Engineering (academic year 2006/2007) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb. In 2011, he is employed as a teaching and research assistant at the same faculty, and in 2017 he completed his postgraduate doctoral study in Industrial Engineering and Management with a doctorate in production management titled: “Model of Manufacturing Management Integrating Lean and Green Management” and earned an academic degree of Doctor of Science.

Fields of interest: Operations and Human Resources Management, Process Optimization, Operational Research, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Projects:

  • Team member on the project of introducing lean and green management in the hospital system “HILIS” for external clients KBC-Zagreb – statistical analysis and optimization of the work process of the technical service department (2014 – 2015)
  • Team member on the project of reorganizing the logistics system of the internal pharmacy KBC Zagreb, headed by prof. dr. sc.   • Project Manager – Lean Manager at Haix Footwear Company “Applying Lean Management at HAIX Footwear Company” (2018 – 2019)
  • Team member on the project “Innovative Croatian solutions for the global auto industry” – Increasing the development of new products and services resulting from R&D activities – KK.01.2.01.0082 – Modernizing the business by introducing the principles of Industry 4.0, LEAN and robotization (2018-)
