Short Biography:
Davor Kolar was born in Zagreb. He enrolled in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in the academic year 2007/2008 and graduated cum laude in 2012 with a master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.
From July 2012 he was employed by Alati Stuhne Ltd., where he worked as a technologist and industrial engineer. He participated in internal projects with the aim of increasing the efficiency of production processes and quality. Since 2013 he has been Project Leader of developing and implementing a CAPP (Computer aided production planning) system in the company. At the end of 2012 he enrolled in a postgraduate study in mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management. Since February 2014, he has been employed as a Junior Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the Chair for Production Management at the Department of Industrial Engineering. With thesis Deep Learning-based early fault diagnosis model for rotary machinery he gained Ph.D. degree in 2019.
